Shopkick and Ibotta

Someone asked me if after finding products on the apps I use such as Shopkick and Ibotta if I still use the products after I no longer get credit for them. And the answer is not always but frequently. Since I do not watch TV these are products that I would never try or even heard of otherwise. A couple of products that come to mind, although there are dozens of them are S. Pellegrino and Lean Cuisine. I think Lean Cuisine surprised me the most. I always thought of it as a product for people who need to diet and so they would just eat these little cardboard tasting portions of Lean Cuisine. So, I was amazed when I found out that not only was the food tasty but the portions were actually not that small. Right now, as I write this I am eating their Swedish meatballs meal and washing it down with a S. Pellegrino. The S. Pellegrino I have started drinking because I drink way too many Barq's Root Beers (I am down to 6 a day) and have since I got kicked out at 16. I do not have any health problems yet (Praise God) but since I am getting older I thought it would be a good time to start thinking about my health. With that in mind for my New Year's resolution I am quitting Barq's Root Beers completely because the company is woke and they are bad for me. The first person to see me drinking one after New Year's 2025 gets a $100. You read it here first.

Who is going to take over for Dave Ramsey?

This is who of the five current personalities I think should fill in for Dave Ramsey when he retires.

In the number one spot is George Kamel. He not only has a vast amount of knowledge and wisdom he also has a great sense of humor. The only downside is he can occasionally be too tough. For example, if you are having a hard time paying for groceries but have a horse that is a beloved member of your family he may see a win - win that not only has your grocery bill taken care of but means that you no longer have to feed the horse. I guess that is akin to Dave Ramsey's "Sell the car" and he is a best selling author with his first book "Breaking Free From Broke".

My second choice is Jade Warshaw. She has paid off over $460000 in debt. None of the other ones even come close. She is super intelligent and comes up with questions and answers I didn't even think of.

Third up is Dr. John Delony. There is quite a bit of stress around debt. Dr. John Delony is able to not only help people with the debt problems as well as the stress problem.

The daughter of Dave Ramsey is Rachel Cruze is my second to last choice. Why is she so low? Well, even though she has been around the Dave Ramsey plan quite literally her whole life she still cannot answer a lot of questions. I met Rachel Cruze at a live event without knowing who she was at the time because she was simply standing against a wall like she was just another one of the workers. She asked me what was happening and I said I hoped to get to talk to Dave Ramsey. She asked me why so, I explained everything and her response was...Well, I sure hope you get to talk to him. Zero advice. On the bright side at least with her you get to keep the horse.

Last on my list is Ken Coleman. I don't put him last because he is a bad guy or anything but simply because he is more of a niche type. If you are unhappy at work or do not exactly what kind of job would be best for you that is where Ken comes in. I am not sure how much money knowledge he has although I have always wondered what kind of advice he would have given me if he had been standing there instead of Rachel. I have to figure it would have been better than --- Well, I sure hope you get to talk to him.
