2020 Election

As we get closer to the elections I will write more political posts. To be honest in 2016 I did not vote for Donald Trump. I and my friends instead chose to write in Ted Cruz who in my mind was by far the better choice. Since I am not stupid I was not going to vote for a democRAT. The only reason Trump won the primaries over Ted Cruz was because of all the democRATS who voted for Trump in the primaries figuring that even hillary could beat him. They were wrong. This year assuming Ted Cruz is not going to run I am going to vote for President Trump with pride and the reason is simple. President Trump has kept all of his campaign promises with the exception of the wall. And the only reason that he has not kept the wall is due to pelosi and the rest of her ilk fighting him tooth and nail on it.
All of his other promises have been kept. Trump kept his promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to their actual capital in Jerusalem, something his three immediate predecessors also promised yet failed to do because of fear. He promised to “crush and destroy ISIS,” and he is on the verge of eliminating Islamic State’s physical caliphate. He promised to impose a travel ban on countries that are posing a terrorist threat, and the final version of his ban has been upheld by the Supreme Court. Trump pledged to nominate Supreme Court justices “in the mold of Justice (Antonin) Scalia,” and now Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh sit on the high court. Trump also pledged to fill the federal appellate courts with young, conservative judges, and so far the Senate has confirmed 29 — more than any recent president at this point in his administration.
Trump promised to cancel Obama’s Clean Power Plan which because of it being poorly structured had been met with both Congressional and Court challenges and instead implemented the Affordable Clean Energy rule. The changes were hailed by industry representatives. He also promised to withdraw from the Paris climate accord, approve the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, and open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to exploration. He has fulfilled all of those pledges.
On trade, he kept his promise to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and impose tariffs on steel and aluminum. He also committed to renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement and the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement — and recently signed new deals with Mexico, Canada and South Korea. He committed to imposing tariffs on China to force it to open its markets and stop its theft of intellectual property — and is following through on that pledge. Whatever one thinks of Trump’s trade policies, he is doing exactly what he said he was going to do and is in fact one of the few presidents since Ronald Regan to do so.
Unlike obama, he did not pass his signature legislative achievement on the basis of a lie (“If you like your health care plan, you can keep it”) — which is clearly worse than falsely bragging that your tax cut is the biggest ever. Also unlike obama who apparently has no idea how supply and demand works he did not implement something ruinous to the economy like obama's cash for clunkers.
If you appreciate a politician who actually does what he says he is going to do and not want to see this country further weakened then you will also vote for President Trump.

I failed God today

Usually when someone asks me how I am doing I tell them "I am better than I deserve". Which is true. According to the Bible what we deserve is Hell. Instead what I have been given is a vast amount of mercy. I have been given incredible health. I have not had to go to a doctor or even been sick in years. I have a excellent job, a beautiful house and an awesome car. Yet today multiple times when asked how I was I had the audacity to forget all that God has blessed me with and to begin complaining. The things I complained about weren't even big earth shattering things. When I finally realized what I was doing I felt ashamed. I felt a little like Peter must have felt when the rooster crowed and he realized that he had denied Jesus 3 times. No, I did not deny Jesus but I pretty much denied all of the awesome thing he has done for me a sinner. Tomorrow, I go back to Better than I deserve.
P.S. The better than I deserve is not something I came up with. It is something I stole from a guy by the name of Dave Ramsey. Go to his web site Daveramsey.com and in the search engine type in "Drive free" and watch the short little video that pops up. Then type in "Baby Steps".

Where did we come from?

I was having a discussion with an atheist on the internet about the beginning of everything. His contention is that we were not just a rock floating through space with no breathable atmosphere but developed a breathable atmosphere all along. My next question to him was --- Ok, let's say you are 100% correct and that this rock developed a breathable atmosphere. So, if not from God where did the spark of life come from? Once the Earth developed this atmosphere how did we go from that to all of a sudden having all this life here? Without God it just isn't possible.
Now, this next part is going to get a little more sciencey so if science puts you to sleep I totally understand your skipping ahead. However, I will try to keep it relativity simple. A lot of people believe only one or the other, either science or religion can be right and that science proves religion false which just isn't so. As a matter of fact science proves religion correct to anybody that doesn't have blinders on. I believe everybody knows what DNA is. Otherwise known as Deoxyribonucleic acid, DNA is a thread-like chain of nucleotides carrying the genetic instructions used in the growth, development, functioning and reproduction of all known living organisms and many viruses. Instructions also known as information. You can fit the entirety of an encyclopedia onto a single strand of DNA. One gram of DNA can potentially hold up to 455 exabytes of data, according to the New Scientist magazine. For reference: There are one billion gigabytes in an exabyte, and 1,000 exabytes in a zettabyte. The cloud computing company EMC estimated that there were 1.8 zettabytes of data in the world in 2011, which means we would need only about 4 grams (about a teaspoon) of DNA to hold everything from Plato through the complete works of Shakespeare to Beyonce’s latest album not to mention every cat video out there. How many megabytes of genetic data are stored in the human body? For simplicity’s sake, let’s ignore the microbiome (all non-human cells that live in our body), and focus only on the cells that make up our body. Estimates for the number of cells in the human body range between 10 trillion and 100 trillion. Let us take 100 trillion cells as the generally accepted estimate. So, given that each diploid cell contains 1.5 GB of data (this is very approximate, as I am only accounting for the diploid cells and ignoring the haploid sperm and egg cells in our body), the approximate amount of data stored in the human body is:
1.5 Gbytes x 100 trillion cells = 150 trillion Gbytes or 150×10^12 x 10^9 bytes = 150 Zettabytes (10^21)!!!
Why is this so important? And how does this prove the existence of God? It is simple really. How many books just happened without the existence of an author? How many houses were built without a builder? So, if not God who made the first humans? And the amount of information involved in creating the first humans?  A
Chromosome is a condensed form of DNA. So,
1 chromosome = 1 DNA molecule

Human body has two sets of chromosomes (diploid), each set having 23 chromosomes.
Therefore in one cell there are 46 chromosomes.
46 chromosomes = 46 DNA molecules
(Remember each DNA molecule is of different size here.)
There are more than 37 trillion cells in human body.
46 DNA molecules per cell × 37 trillion cells = 1702 trillion DNA molecules
Still think there is no God? If so, you have more faith than me.
