How to overcome the coronavirus

In my last post I said that God in His mercy told us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 what we should do when the events of 2 Chronicles 7:13 began to happen like they are now. 2 Chronicles 7:14 states "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." I know some of you are thinking will that work? The answer is yes. Have you heard of Jonah? Yes, the guy who was swallowed by the whale. Some of you may not know WHY he got swallowed by the whale.  So, as Paul Harvey liked to say here is the rest of the story. Jonah was told by God to go to Nineveh and prophesy its destruction but he hates the people of Nineveh and tries to escape the mission by running away and heading for Tarshish instead. To do this he went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port and after paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. However, the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. The sailors said to each other, “Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity.” They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah. They asked him, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?” And Jonah tells them pick me up and throw me into the sea, and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.” So, they threw him overboard and the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. When Jonah repented and said he would do what God had told him to do God has the whale let him out onto dry land and Jonah goes to Nineveh where he begins by proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” The Ninevites believed in God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. This is the proclamation he issued in Nineveh: “By the decree of the king and his nobles:
Do not let people or animals, herds or flocks, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink.  But let people and animals be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.” When God saw what they did and how they had humbled themselves and turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened. So that is what this country and the world needs to do if we want to survive the judgement that has befallen us. We need to humble ourselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways;
